PRESENTATION
The reading committee consists of 15-18 readers, they choose between thirty and forty titles to read about every 5 weeks. The diversity of the members make an eclectic literary universe. Each book is read two to three times in order to have the most objective advice as possible, depending on the theme, style and audience.

ROMAN FIRST PRIZE READERS
The literary season in September is very important. This year, fewer than 600 books came out and the first novels are often lost among the mass of published books.
With this in mind, the library reading committee decided to create the First Novel Prize of new styles Readers and possibly new kinds to readers frequenting the library.
The selection of books made by reading committee, from the new season are then purposed to the public from January, time to choose and reading. From this panel, and throughout the year, each reader gives a score between 1 and 10 when he returns the book, or when he had finished to read all the books he wants (in order to compare more easily). Everyone does not read necessarily all the selection offered to participate in the Award. An average is then established and the Readers' Choice Award winner was announced in January of the following year, and at the same time, the new selection competition titles.

So far thirty players were hooked. The award began in 2011, is Helen Gestern who won the 1rst Price with "Them on the picture" which came out on top. She was received in December 2012 at the library for its award and she has also participated to the presentation of new titles. The 2nd winner was Pierre Chazal for "Marcus". The third winner is Sophie Van Der Linden for "the factory of the world". The fourth winner is Jean-François Roseau with "At the height of the battle." A beautiful first novel published in editions of P-G Roux for this young author of 24. The history of this quartet in love at the heart of one of the worst periods in the history of France has clearly a big hit with our readers mallemortais.
